7. This is why I'll go directly to the YouTube page and vote DOWN the original video.

This is why I'll go directly to the YouTube page and vote DOWN the original video. Just click the title of the video (at the top of the embedded video window) and you'll go to the Youtube page. You can then vote it down AND you can report it for having a misleading thumbnail image (ie: pretending to be a CNN video when it's not.)

That Alberto Willis guy does the same thing... deceptive thumbnails. I'll vote those videos down and report them as well.

They're spamming for clicks that help them to earn $$$ on their youtube channels. It's dishonest.

4. How about some truth in advertising? If I had known this was actually a David Pakman video,

I wouldn't have clicked on it.

It's massively annoying to expect a video clip of a news show, and then find out it's just Pakman jabbering away.

Well - actually not just annoying, it totally pisses me off!

8. DUers, hover over the top left corner of videos to see who it's from

if it's from someone you don't want, don't play the video.

Get into the habit of always hovering to check the source before clicking. Real CNN videos will say CNN at the top left if they are from the official CNN account.

9. Why blame the viewer for the channel-owner's dishonesty?

Unfortunately... even "blocked" users posts will still display on the home page's right-column of videos. There's no "hovering" that can be done there.

I can only control what I do, not what someone else does.

It's good advice... it's a shame that deceptive channel owners take advantage of people by using "fake" thumbnails that make the video appear to be something it's not.
