Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene breaks with the GOP on Obamacare, calling to avoid premium hikes

(NBC News) WASHINGTON — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., broke with her party Monday evening by calling for action on expiring Obamacare subsidies to avoid premium hikes, adding a prominent MAGA voice to the cause led by Democrats.

In a long post on X, Greene, the far-right MAGA firebrand, made it clear she was not in Congress when the 2010 law passed.

“Let’s just say as nicely as possible, I’m not a fan,” she wrote. “But I’m going to go against everyone on this issue because when the tax credits expire this year my own adult children’s insurance premiums for 2026 are going to DOUBLE, along with all the wonderful families and hard-working people in my district.”

Give the INSURANCE CORPORATION some of YOUR millions, Marge …

Why are your children eligible for Obamacare? Don’t you share your wealth?

Bitch moan and bellyache. Point fingers, lie. But have zero responsibility. If democrats do good stuff pubs take credit. Good work if you can get it.

This is a defining characteristic of conservatives: they do not give a crap what happens to anyone else, but when something affects them personally they squeal and cry. I'm sick of it.

10. She's not unique, you know. All those republicans have family, relatives, or friends who will be hurt.

She's just the only one who is willing to say the obvious, and actually criticize her party's position.
All republicans are self serving. They will only take a stand when they're personally affected.
I expect more will eventually follow suit, but only when they are forced to by circumstance.

it's already too late for those on Social Security. My premiums (not to mention prescription prices) are going through the ceiling.

You, your congressional MAGAts, and your orange Jesus can go straight to hell. And I don't trust you as far as I can throw your entire blood red congressional district. 🖕
