I think that its in Russias interest to help Iranians. And I dont believe I know that they share information, he said. Do they help Iranians? Of course. How many percent? One-hundred percent.

(2,775 posts)These are not random. They have hit most of the bases that surround Iran. The fact that Iran was able to score a direct hit on the AWACS plane -- not just a hit, but a pinpoint hit on the radar dome and the plane structure below the dome suggests that US air defenses are practically inoperative now. That looks like a combination of Russian targeting advice, together with a gross miscalculation by the Pentagon of Iran's ballistic missile capability.
Iran is claiming that US personnel have evacuated most of the bases and are hiding out in civilian areas because they can't defend the bases. Who knows how much of that is true? But it certainly seems plausible, considering just how poorly every aspect of this "excursion" has been planned.
