9 dead, 25 injured in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. school shooting

Source: Global News

At least nine people were killed in a school shooting Tuesday afternoon in British Columbia’s Peace region, in which the suspected shooter also ended up dead.

RCMP said there were “multiple victims” from a shooting at the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, where students attend Grades 7 through 12.

RCMP in Tumbler Ridge issued an emergency alert on Tuesday afternoon for an active shooter following reports of a shooting at a school.

When officers entered the school on Tuesday afternoon, they found six victims dead, RCMP confirmed. Two more victims were found at another location, while another victim died on the way to hospital.
An individual believed to be the shooter was also found dead with what appears to be a self‑inflicted injury.

It will be interesting to see what sort of firearm was used to perpetrate this horrific crime.

two with casualty counts as high as 26 (23 dead in one instance).

For this tragedy, Wikipedia shows a casualty count of 37, with 10 dead so far.

Could be the Canucks are too close to the US kooks.

But Canadian police, and Mexican police, are having to deal with gun running from the US.

I'm not saying the gun used is from an illegal gun purchase.

2400 people and that school only has 175 kids between grades 7-12.

That’s such a huge loss for that town.

to the school or to the other two people in a house that were shot. In Canada, privacy is strict and we will only find out later when police are ready to release some details.
