This is just breaking me
Their son Nick, who was arrested for their murder, has a long history of drug abuse, rehab (at least 15 times) and homelessness. Addiction, alcoholism and mental illness runs through multiple generations of my family. While we have no murders, the "collateral damage" that addiction and mental illness inflicts is ENORMOUS. It's a miracle that my niece, with 2 addicts for parents, is a fairly normal, smart, hardworking young lady.
