A man was reported killed and children wounded in an attack on a kindergarten in Kharkiv
At least seven people have been killed including two children during intense Russian drone and missile strikes on Ukraine, officials say.
A kindergarten was hit in Ukraine's second biggest city Kharkiv and there was widespread damage in Kyiv. Children were among the 27 people wounded.
Hours earlier, US President Donald Trump said his plans for an imminent summit in Budapest with Russia's Vladimir Putin had been shelved as he did not want a "wasted meeting".
President Volodymyr Zelensky said the attacks proved Moscow had not come under enough pressure for its continued war.
The Kremlin has rejected calls for a ceasefire along the current front lines made both by Trump and European leaders.

Today russia killed a 6-month-old baby.
A baby that was born during the war and died during the war.
I dont even know how to describe this feeling anymore, its like every fucking day we read the same news, and every time it hits just as hard.
Along with the baby, a 38-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl were also killed. They lived in the village of Pohreby, Kyiv region.
Their bodies were found in the ashes of their home, burned, after a Russian attack set it on fire.

A Ukrainian family who fled Kyiv hoping to find safety in a nearby village was killed when a Russian drone slammed into their home.
Mum, aged 37, her six-month-old baby Adelina, and her niece Nastya, aged 12, were sleeping when the drone struck their room.
They died instantly.

(7,898 posts)With Putin are a waste of time because conditions on the ground are not ripe for ending the war. The focus must be to change the conditions and that means more missile defense systems and longer range misdialed (Tomahawks). All Trump ever does is to prolong the war. Since Trump will not do that it is up to Europe to fill the void. Even that is complicated because Trump holds a veto over use of American weapons. This war will drag on until Trump is replaced.

(14,526 posts)I've suspected long ago that they are working together. Ever since the Helsinki secret talks. When they meet, its to exchange information they can each use. For Trump its to use against his political enemies, and for Putin, its top secret Ukrainian information to help with the war.
That or its negotiations on joint investments in crypto or other shady ventures to consolidate much of the worlds wealth.
Not one minute is spend on demanding Putin withdraw his forces from Ukraine
