While plowing a wheat field in rural Washington state in the 1990s, William Wallace spotted a gray plane overhead that he believed was releasing chemicals to make him sick. The rancher began to suspect that all white vapor trails from aircraft might be dangerous. He shared his concern with reporters, acknowledging it sounded a little like “The X Files,” a science fiction television show.

Academics cite Wallace’s story as one of the catalysts behind a fringe concept that has spread among adherents to the Make America Healthy Again, or MAHA, movement and is gaining traction at the highest levels of the federal government. Its treatment as a serious issue underscores that under President Donald Trump, unscientific ideas have unusual power to take hold and shape public health policy.

The concept posits that airplane vapor trails, or contrails, are really “chemtrails” containing toxic substances that poison people and the terrain. Another version alleges planes or devices are being deployed by the federal government, private companies, or researchers to trigger big weather changes, such as hurricanes, or to alter the Earth’s climate, emitting hazardous chemicals in the process.

Several GOP lawmakers and leaders in the Trump administration remain convinced the concepts are legitimate, though scientists have sought to discredit such claims. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is planning to investigate climate and weather control, and is expected to create a task force that will recommend possible federal action, according to a former agency official, an internal agency memo obtained by KFF Health News, and a consultant who helped with the memo.

Those who stayed awake in high school chemistry will notice there is no such chemical as "bromium". Maybe someone meant "bromine", maybe "barium", maybe it was originally a joke about "bros" - it's obvious she didn't even get as far as Doing Her Own Research before drawing Brainworm Bob into the conspiracy theories. There used to be some people here in Portland OR who would hand out flyers about chemtrails. I always thought it was really weird, no apparent motivation for doing it, no evidence that was being done, just crazy drug-induced fever dreams.

It mentions cloud seeding before floods in Dubai in 2024. This was apparently a big enough thing on the crazy internet that the British Royal Meteorological Society wrote something to debunk it:

MCSs are formed when a team of individual thunderstorms cluster together and cover a large area, from a few hundred to a few thousand kilometres wide, and typically last for several hours or even days, bringing heavy rainfall, hail, lightning, strong winds and even tornadoes and dust storms.

Yes, the UAE does have an operational cloud seeding programme, not a surprise given the predominantly arid nature of the region. Cloud seeding usually involves spreading fine particles into individual developing clouds that wouldn’t normally lead to rain. Small planes burning salt flares fly through the developing clouds, hoping that the tiny particles produced will act as cloud condensation nuclei and trigger the formation of water droplets and eventually rain.

But in this case, the clouds were part of a large weather system advancing across the region, and already predicted to produce substantial amounts of rain across a wide area. Any possible effect from cloud seeding would be tiny in comparison. So the tales of cloud seeding simply don’t make sense, and are a distraction from the most likely guilty party — climate change. The UAE National Centre of Meteorology later confirmed that no cloud seeding mission had taken place.

Yes, that's the point - the seeding operations produce small amounts of rain, and when they see the forecast is "huge amounts of rain, naturally", they stop, because it's pointless, and literally swamped by the natural stuff. These people are vert, very stupid. Especially Brainworm Bob.

I asked a chopper pilot who was in the National Guard as a Huey pilot what he knew about all the farmers reporting BLACK Helicopters.........

He said, of course they are complaining and went on to tell me why.........The farmers were planting marijuana in the middle of their corn fields where it couldn't be seen from the road. They made more on the dope than they did on the corn. He said the national guard was flying DEA Black Helicopters with DEA agents aboard,, scouting the fields, in grids across farmland in Kansas, Nebraska, Dakotas, etc trying to spot these dope patches from the air.......
He said that when they saw one of these dope fields, they would set down next to it, the DEA would hop out, cut down all the plants, load them in the Huey and then leave.
