Trump threatens to yank World Cup games from Boston though it's up to FIFA to choose sites

Source: AP News

President Donald Trump on Tuesday threatened to relocate World Cup matches set to be played next year in suburban Boston, after suggesting that parts of the city had been “taken over” by unrest.

Foxborough, Massachusetts, home to the NFL’s New England Patriots and about 30 miles from Boston, is set to stage matches as the U.S. cohosts the 2026 World Cup with Mexico and Canada. Trump was asked about Boston’s mayor, Michelle Wu, a Democrat whom he called “intelligent” but “radical left.”

“We could take them away,” Trump said of the World Cup games. “I love the people of Boston and I know the games are sold out. But your mayor is not good.”

He suggested “they’re taking over parts of Boston” without offering details, but added “we could get them back in about two seconds.”

I'm sure the people of Boston will be relieved about not seeing your ugly ass on the jumbotron. Frankly everyone should make like the Texas state fair and leave the World Cup match stadiums empty since FIFA seems to be all chummy with this corrupt asshole.

And reschedule all US matches to Canada and Mexico and avoid the US all together.

It is not safe here anymore...for anyone.

Chump has already ruined this. FIFA needs to be proactive for the safety of the athletes, their families, their coaches, and their fans.

Those soccer fans will spend a shit-ton of money to come here, only to be harassed and endangered by DHS and ICE? No way! Don't let this happen, move the games now while you still can.

Find other safe venues in Canada and Mexico and give THE FINGER to Chump.

She has nothing to do with Foxborough unless she chooses to visit there. Of course I don't expect Him to understand that.

https://news.sky.com/story/donald-trump-has-the-right-to-determine-which-cities-are-safe-for-the-world-cup-fifa-tells-sky-news-13450773

FIFA has told Sky News the US government does have the right to determine if cities are safe for the World Cup - after Donald Trump threatened to remove the Boston area from hosting.

The US president stepped up his criticism of crime in Democrat-run cities at the White House after previously claiming California could be stripped of matches at the FIFA event next year, and at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino is a close ally of President Trump's - attending his Gaza peace summit in Egypt this week - and is not pushing back on his World Cup interventions.

In a statement to Sky News, FIFA said: "Safety and security are the top priorities at all FIFA events worldwide.
