Trump goes on morning Truth Social posting spree - but glosses right over his Nobel Peace Prize loss
Source: Independent
President Donald Trump has never shied away from lashing out against any slight against him, real or perceived, but after the Norwegian committee responsible for awarding the Nobel Peace Prize snubbed him in favor of Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado he appears to be holding his tongue on the matter.
A glut of social media posts emanating from the presidents Truth Social account Friday morning touched on multiple subjects, including reposting praise hed received for his role in helping broker the deal that has brought about a ceasefire in Israels two-year-old war against Hamas in Gaza as of Friday morning.
One post included a clip from a show on the conservative Newsmax television network in which the host credited Trump with helping bring about peace to the Middle East region even though the deal had yet to be approved by Israels cabinet at the time.

Had Trump been victorious, he would have been the fifth American president to receive the prize, following Theodore Roosevelt (1906), Woodrow Wilson (1919), Jimmy Carter (2002), and, most importantly for the current commander-in-chief, Barack Obama (2009).

(14 posts)... thus Obama was publicly "applauded" by the Nobel cmte back then for creating a world-wide atmosphere of hope/joy & optimism.during his inspiring campaign.
Sadly the sycophants who have been pushing Tubby's name haven't bothered to really share with their hero the basic "rules" for awarding the prize.
That was one of the reasons the last minute rush for peace in Gaza was so blatantly hypocritical and ill-timed. The effort was to beat the award announcement not to save lives, property or continued genocidal acts against the Palestinian people.
..T* is really too ignorant to "debate" or try to reason with. His view of the world is so off-base, one barely knows where to "jump in" & start.

(51,106 posts)He sees prizes and medals as something to collect and display without doing the work, which is much like so many authoritarian leaders across the world. "I always wanted a Purple Heart", totally clueless as to what people endured to earn it.
I really don't understand how people can relish accolades that they did not earn. Where is the satisfaction in that?
Blasphemer
(3,465 posts)Of course, there is no satisfaction in it. Deep down, he knows that he is a nobody with nothing to contribute to the world. That's the real reason we are living through his late in life tantrum. It's all he has - trying to force people to respect him all the while knowing that he is utterly repugnant and irredeemable.
