White House Announces Plan To Ignore Law, Fund WIC From Tariff Revenue

WASHINGTON ― The Donald Trump administration will use tariff revenue to prevent a special nutrition program for pregnant women and mothers of young children from running out of money during the government shutdown. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the legally questionable plan on Tuesday afternoon as the shutdown entered its second week.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children would otherwise run out of backup money for its six million beneficiaries sometime in the coming days, according to advocates for the program. “The Democrats are so cruel in their continual votes to shut down the government that they forced the WIC program for the most vulnerable women and children to run out this week,” Leavitt said.

“Thankfully, President Trump and the White House have identified a creative solution to transfer resources from Section 232 tariff revenue to this critical program,” Leavitt said. “The Trump White House will not allow impoverished mothers and their babies to go hungry because of the Democrats’ political games.”

Democrats in Congress had no public reaction to the news, but California Gov. Gavin Newsom offered a rare bit of praise for the administration. “Literally the bare minimum the White House should do right now,” Newsom said on X. “But thanks?” The government isn’t supposed to spend money that Congress hasn’t appropriated, and money for WIC ran out last week along with everything else when appropriations lapsed on Tuesday at midnight.

One goal of destroying the federal govt is to turn the savings over to Trump.

Trump is commandeering everything. DOJ, US military, US Treasury, US Courts, etc etc.

All money and resources belong to him personally now.

give welfare payments to farmers who have lost their markets because of the tariffs.

Krasnov is the biggest welfare president ever, doling out billions of dollars to rich people. I see he had the government buy a 10% share of a Canadian energy company which caused its stock to triple, that with allowing roads to be built in formerly protected areas will enable this Canadian company to mine in pristine areas of Alaska, Socialism for the rich.

The government also owns 10% of Intel which means that Krasnov will have a big say in who the CEO and other officials are.

It is almost funny if it weren't so serious, calling Democrats Socialists and communists when Krasnov is the perfect example. Didn't he try to set the prices that Walmart charges its customers when he told it to eat his tariffs?
