Kamala Harris’s book tour continues to generate interesting soundbites, with the former vice president blasting President Donald Trump’s administration, saying “These motha*fuckas are crazy!” during one recent appearance.

Harris shared her assessment while speaking at the “Day of Unreasonable Conversation” summit in Los Angeles on Monday. The ex-VP told the crowd at The Getty Center:

We are living history right now, and you all storytellers are living this. You’re not passive observers, you know that. You’re living it, and I would ask you that all the emotions that we are feeling — give those emotions, give that experience to those people that you are writing about and writing for. It gets back to my point about helping people just put a label on it, even if it doesn’t change the circumstance. Because there is so much about this moment that is trying to make people feel like they’ve lost their minds, when in fact, these mothaf*ckas are crazy!

The audience roared with cheers and clapped right afterwards, and Harris started to chuckle.

3. The Democrats always seem to believe they have to be the adult in the room.

They need to get angry and tell some hard truths. This country has a lot of problems and we haven't been addressing them nearly enough since the 90's. It's too late to stop climate change, or gun deaths, or pollution. But we can ameliorate some of the worst effects if we start fighting now. It starts by telling the truth. These MF's ARE crazy.

The reason this kind of stuff is so bad for Democrats is they think getting validation by fellow Democrats with clever insults, said to each other in safe spaces, means the ball is moving forward. It is not. Everyone who reads the New Yorker already agrees with you.

Trump lost, but he never left the spotlight. Harris lost, and she ran away to write a book. Which leader is really producing for their party and their priorities?
