The only source I found is a social media post from GEN Bussiere that is posted on Reddit. Still looking for a news outlet to pick up the story.

As Commander, Global Strike Command, he owns ALL our: intercontinental ballistic missiles; bombers; all the bases, people, aircraft, and other stuff that supports our global nuclear and convential strike capability.

His social media post is gentlemanly and is what one would expect from a professional who loves this country.

Granted, this could have been in the works, but, I'm betting the Trump-Hegseth Shit Show had something to do with it.

Yes, probably so. Not that unusual at the 3- and 4-star level.

4. You'd probably lose that bet. His departure is due to his not getting the AF Chief of Staff position.

He was a frontrunner for the position for a while, but in early September his nomination to be Vice Chief of Staff was pulled and then yesterday he lost out on the Chief of Staff position to Gen. Wilsbach.

Probably so -- thanks pretty normal at the 3- and 4-star level, especially the 4-star because, if you are not selected for a 4-star position for which you are being considered, well, what else is there -- another 4-star command would be a lateral.
