Exclusive: Newly discovered photos and video shed fresh light on Trump's ties to Jeffrey Epstein

CNN — Newly uncovered archived video footage and photos reveal fresh details about Donald Trump’s past relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Photos from 1993 confirm for the first time that Epstein attended Trump’s 1993 wedding to Marla Maples. Epstein’s attendance at the ceremony at the Plaza Hotel was not widely known until now. In addition, footage from a 1999 Victoria’s Secret fashion event in New York shows Trump and Epstein laughing and chatting together ahead of the runway event.

CNN’s KFile uncovered the raw footage during a review of archival video of Trump at events in the 1990s and 2000s. Trump and Epstein appeared together in at least one video among the limited archival footage reviewed. The new footage and photos, which have not been widely reported and pre-date any of Epstein’s known legal issues, come amid renewed scrutiny of Trump’s past relationship with Epstein. The Justice Department’s recent decision not to release long-promised files related to Epstein has spurred outrage in some corners of Trump’s MAGA movement, where people developed an expectation for bombshell revelations into Epstein’s alleged co-conspirators.

In a brief call with CNN on Tuesday, President Trump, asked about the wedding photos, responded, “You’ve got to be kidding me,” before repeatedly calling CNN “fake news” and hanging up. In a statement to CNN, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung said, “These are nothing more than out-of-context frame grabs of innocuous videos and pictures of widely attended events to disgustingly infer something nefarious. “The fact is that the President kicked him out of his club for being a creep. This is nothing more than a continuation of the fake news stories concocted by the Democrats and the liberal media.”

Allegations that Epstein sexually abused underage girls first surfaced in 2005, leading to his arrest a year later. He was arrested again in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges and later died in jail, fueling numerous conspiracy theories. The medical examiner ruled his death a suicide by hanging.

I assume GM has an "insurance policy" locked up somewhere, to protect her, but I thought she would have pulled it out when Trump came after her. She's not stupid, of course. Maybe she's waiting for the right time, like now.

Trump usual act is to manipulate the justice system and fog the case by dragging it on and on. And Bondi is the key..She knows she is treading on thin ice - she is a shark herself, and can see clearly the glory that would come her way, if she buries Trump. 8. It's not just the "wedding photos" (which generally show how far back they knew each other)

but the later stuff - when 45 was involved in all the various "fashion show", "modeling", and later, "beauty contest" stuff (e.g., at one time, 45 ran the "Miss USA, "Miss Teen USA", & "Miss Universe" pageants, where some footage of the latter, was shown ahead of the 2016 election along with that "Access Hollywood" tape ).

Those "beauty contest" events were where there was overlap with Epstein.

Here's the [iMiami Herald timeline] of Epstein events. Nowhere does it, or any other source I've read, mention Epstein's being kicked out of trump's club; well, maybe Michael Wolff mentions the year. All I've heard is that the "falling out" was in 2004, after trump won a bidding war against Epstein for some Palm Beach mansion.

That's "ownership" for almost 20 years, so there may be all kinds of footage gong back that far since Epstein was at his wedding with Marla Maples in 1993 (and 3 years later, 45 got involved in running those pageants).

From 1996 to 2015, Donald Trump co-owned the Miss Universe Organization, which also included the Miss U.S.A. and Miss Teen U.S.A. pageants. A day or two before a pageant began, Trump would casually visit the contestants while they conducted their final rehearsals. Former contestants told me that Trump would circulate among the young women, shaking hands and chatting with each of them, periodically turning to speak with Paula Shugart, the president of the Miss Universe Organization, who followed him at a discreet distance. (Paula Shugart declined to comment.) Adwoa Yamoah, who competed as Miss Canada in 2012, told me, “He made comments about every girl: ‘I’ve been to that country.’ ‘We’re building a Trump Tower there.’ It was clear the countries that he liked did well. He’d whisper to Paula about the girls, and she’d write it down. He basically told us he picked nine of the top fifteen.” Kerrie Baylis, who was Miss Jamaica in 2013, described a similar scene and added that, when the finalists were announced, “the list looked like the countries that Donald Trump did business with, or wanted to do business with.” Shi Lim, who competed that year as Miss Singapore, told me, “The finalists were picked by Trump. He was really in charge. We called it the Trump card.” (A Miss Universe spokeswoman said that the pageant rules allowed the company’s staff, including Trump, to participate in naming the finalists.)

I haven't had chance to look at what was released but I remember back in 2016 & 2017, there had been footage released (that was even posted here on DU) of 45 with contestants and then interviews with some of the past contestants. I don't think any of that had Epstein in it but as an example, this clip described a 2006 incident of 45 and his "meat show" attitude -

I believe that's why he was given the cameo scene in the movie "Home Alone 2" because otherwise he wouldn't have allowed filming on the premises.

I can remember reading that he would sometimes "crash" other people's wedding receptions ... in other words, walk in uninvited and unannounced. Whenever customers booked their receptions at The Plaza they knew there was a possibility that he'd crash it. (Some people even hoped he'd show up, just for the novelty of it.)

Well this is Chump's wedding at The Plaza ... so maybe "friends" are crashing his as a return favor? I don't know, but it's a possibility.

Virginia Giuffre was working at Mar-a-Lago when she met Epstein. However, she also never accused Trump of any wrongdoing.

In deposition excerpts made public Friday, Giuffre said she was working as a spa attendant at Mar-a-Lago in 2000 when she was approached by Epstein’s longtime friend Ghislaine Maxwell about giving massages to the wealthy investor, who owned a mansion in Palm Beach not far from the Trump resort.

“Just outside the locker room, sitting where the other girl who works there usually sits,” Giuffre replied. “I was reading a book on massage therapy. … She noticed I was reading the massage book. And I started to have chitchat with her just about, you know, the body and the anatomy and how I was interested in it. And she told me that she knew somebody that was looking for a traveling masseuse. ... If the guy likes you then, you know, it will work out for you. You’ll travel. You’ll make good money.”

During the same deposition, Giuffre said the paid massages often involved sex and led to a more permanent role traveling with Epstein, who had homes on a private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, in New Mexico and New York. She alleged she was also instructed by Epstein and Maxwell to have sex with Epstein’s friends.

“’Donald Trump was also a good friend of Jeffrey’s.’ That part is true. ‘He didn’t partake in any’ of — any sex with any of us but he flirted with me.’ It’s true that he didn’t partake in any sex with us, but it’s not true that he flirted with me. Donald Trump never flirted with me,” Giuffre clarified later.
