(5,246 posts)Cassandra Peterson (if you don't know) is "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark... and I can tell you personally she's a really cool lady. Funny, risque, and a livewire. I'm sure she and Yvonne kept everyone it stitches.
Crap... why does it seem like there's more death around than life, lately? I guess it's just me getting older and recognizing the ones dying more often.

(1,084 posts)We met a California couple at a relatives wedding that summer that were moving out of their apartment in Hollywood and we needed a place when we arrived for the beginning of the semester as USC. When we moved in, we realized that the lady in the next apartment was Lynne Steward. She was so sweet. Occasionally, she would ask my wife to drive her to some audition across town. She always called me Doug even though that was not my name. She gave us a doll of her character on the Pee-Wee Herman Show. She signed it and again referenced me as Doug. She collected dolls and had large display cases of all kinds of dolls in her apartment. She introduced us one day to Cindy Williams. Paul Ruebens often visited her, and we ran into him frequently. I thought she would live forever.
