Trump, After G.O.P. Criticism, Reverses Cuts to 9/11 Survivors' Program

The Trump administration has reversed itself on making funding and staff cuts to a federal health program for survivors of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, after bipartisan criticism of the moves.

In a statement on Friday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which oversees the World Trade Center Health Program, said it had reinstated two research grants that had been cut and that employees who had been fired several days ago would return to their jobs.

John Feal, a retired construction worker from Long Island who began advocating for the program’s creation years after he was injured helping with cleanup and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center, praised the reversal.

“The White House underestimated us,” he said.

He always underestimated the will of the American people, going instead for the lowest common denominator and pumping hate through them. The good people will finally rise up and say "enough"!

And insulting to the memories of the people that contributed to the Constitution and our founding principles, that despite all the chaos and disruption and flagrant disregard for the rule of law, this is the fucking hill they die on?!? Then begging trump to spare them? What the fuck?!? They are Congress for dog sake. They control the purse strings. They say where the money goes and how much and until when. Congress. Not the fucking president. Why are they begging him when he is literally violating the Constitution and undermining the Constitutional authority of Congress? They should be drawing up Articles of Impeachment for him, Musk and Vance.
Impeach Vance first, then impeach Trump and the Speaker becomes president. Then pass a law banning eLoon from government service and banning DOGE from all work within the federal government or any federal contractor.
