Ted Cruz Begs for Money on Fox News: 'Please... I Need Your Help'

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared on Fox News on Monday night, where he begged viewers for donations to his reelection campaign. Cruz is running for a third term against Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX), who raised $30 million in the third quarter, besting Cruz’s $21 million. Allred still faces an uphill battle, as polls regularly show him trailing the senator by three to five points.

Appearing on Monday’s Hannity, Cruz was asked about the upcoming Senate elections where Democrats, who lead the chamber 51-49, must defend several seats in red and purple states. However, one seat Democrats hope to flip is Cruz’s.

“How do you feel about the Senate?” Sean Hannity asked. “If you’re in Texas and you care about border security, if you don’t want Harris-Biden inflation, if you don’t wanna pay high gas prices, if you want law and order, you better pay attention to Senator Cruz and his race. And don’t you have a debate coming up soon, too?”

“So, I do,” Cruz responded. “Our debate is tomorrow. And Chuck Schumer’s been explicit. I’m his number one target in the country.
