Masked anti-Israel demonstrators escalated their harassment of a Jewish congressman on the eve of Monday’s anniversary of the Oct. 7 attack, pitching an encampment outside Ohio Democratic Rep. Greg Landsman ’s Cincinnati residence.

Landsman said Monday that the protesters arrived outside his home early Sunday. By evening, they set up tents, cots and sleeping bags in the road and spent the night harassing him and his family members, forcing them to secure a police escort in order to enter and exit safely, the congressman said.

“On the eve of the one-year anniversary of the October 7th terror attacks, when Jews were brutally murdered and kidnapped, these people came to the home of a Jewish family at night, dressed in all black and fully masked," Landsman said in a statement. He said that he and his daughter would be forced to navigate the encampment in order to attend an Oct. 7 service later Monday.

The group, Midwest Direct Action 4 Pali!, shared a video of the demonstration on Instagram. The video showed masked participants in black marching down the street in front of Landsman's home. Their faces were obscured as they carried white bundles that resembled shrouded bodies and brandished banners representing the numbers in the death toll. The group remained on site Monday, Landman's office said.

You can agree or not about the Israeli policies or not like Jews but no one can deny that the contribution of Israel and the Jews regarding technology , arts, and science to the world is unparalleled considering there are only 15 million Jews in the world. It will be nice that these protestors do something positive for mankind instead of bulling Jewish people .

Talking about contributions I believe that the gulf Arab nations want to join Israel in sharing Israeli technology with their economic resources to improve the Middle East , hopefully one day the Palestinians and their Iran proxies will understand that being a terrorist is a losing proposition to everyone and that there are not 72 virgins for them waiting in their hell.

You have to admit, if you are honest, setting up a camp at the end of a person's driveway to hassle them and their family every time they enter or leave the home is a high level of intimidation. Quite a bit more than walking on the sidewalk with some signs for an hour.

But why the inclusion of his religion in the headline? It's to suggest the protest is antisemitic. Look at this thread. Folks jumped to that conclusion. And your original question to me suggests you thought pro-Palestinian protests at homes were only directed at Jews. Otherwise, I don't know why you'd ask to see evidence it happened to a non-Jew.

BTW not all Palestinians are Muslim and not all Muslim Palestinians are religious , there are secular Palestinians just as there are secular Israelis.

That we both immediately thought of the same 10-month-old incident is significant. I could name one or two other non-Jewish legislators who have seen small protests as well but not the over-the-top harassment of these incidents.

Why was "Jewish" included in the headline- because, just perhaps, Congressman Landsman is Jewish and the protesters chose to mask themselves, set up a camp at the edge of his driveway and harass him and his family on the anniversary of the largest single day massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. It seems to be a significant factor rather than mere happenstance.

Just like it is not coincidence it is mostly Jewish businesses and Jewish students who regularly are singled out by the protests. Am I saying are all pro-Palestinian protesters antisemitic, no, of course not. Are many of them acting in antisemitic ways, whether intentionally or out of ignorance, I believe so.

And those protesters who chose to "Flood" NYC on the anniversary of the massacre of Jewish civilians, chanting resistance is justified, hail the Oct. 7 massacre as 'day that restored nation's dignity' ... I would say Most of them are antisemitic. (I will be charitable that a small percentage are very ill-informed)

If someone needs the police in order to clear the way in order to exit or enter their own property, then this is harassment and intimidation. It's not a peaceful protest.
