Canada is trying (perhaps could try harder) to work things out with our indigenous peoples. It will never be perfect, but it will be much better. There is a lot to do.

Maybe the exchange rates fluctuated widely? Or the journalist goofed, as he/she was dealing with USD, CAD, and British Pounds.

Canada is doing the right thing. This measure doesn't make up for cultural genocide, but it's a start.

BTW: The greatest composer of all time, Ludwig van Beethoven, was terrible with arithmetic.

Universal Health Care in all their Provinces, strict gun control, legalized marijuana, no capital punishment, and making amends for past injustices.

Canada has its RW nuts and other issues, but their problems seem paltry to America's.

Canada has been far kinder to me by just about any measure than the US ever was. I get homesick every now and again and I miss my family, but my life is here now and I'm glad for that. The US will always be my home and I'll always love it, but I don't foresee myself ever living there again unless a lot of things change.
