Marjorie Taylor Greene Reports Her First Fundraising Loss
Source: Daily Beast
Roger Sollenberger - Yesterday 10:13 PM
The campaign committee for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) reported its first-ever net loss on Friday, posting a $314,000 deficit over the first three months of 2022 while additionally revising previous contribution totals down by more than $100,000.
About half of that loss is represented in fees to Donald Trumps top Jan. 6 attorney and a security detail that protected Kyle Rittenhouse during his trial last year.
While Greene has always traded steep fees for slightly higher returns, shes always managed to come out on topuntil now.
Last quarter she sprung a hole in the bucket, as her campaign committee, Greene for Congress, spent about $1.38 million while taking in only $1.06 million in donations. Fundraising costs alone wiped out three-quarters of those receipts.

(61,033 posts)that other congresspersons who supported Ketanji Brown Jackson for SCOTUS are pedo-lovers, which she then uses to fund raise off of because she has no Congressional duties since being stripped of committee assignments by Speaker Pelosi.
She goes from one outrageous statement to another to fund raise off of.
Hope her constituents are getting sick of her dumb ass.

WASHINGTON A federal judge in Washington has thrown out a lawsuit filed by Georgia U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and two other conservative lawmakers challenging the fines they faced for refusing to wear masks on the House floor. Greene joined U.S. Reps. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Ralph Norman of South Carolina in filing a court challenge in July hoping to recoup penalties they faced after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pushed through new enforcement rules for an existing mask mandate.
U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton wrote in a Wednesday ruling that the case had no merit because Pelosi and the staffers who enforced the fines by docking lawmakers pay could not be sued for decisions made in their government capacity. Walton also disagreed with the plaintiffs arguments that the mask fines amounted to an illegal reduction in their annual salary. The 27th Amendment prohibits any law from changing members compensation before the next election.
Walton disregarded the claim that the mask fines violated the plaintiffs First Amendment protections of free speech, which their lawyers claimed should be invoked because the three lawmakers chose not to wear masks as a form of protest. Greene, Massie and Norman have filed an appeal.

While Massie and Normans protest was limited, Greene continued to show up on the House floor without a mask for the rest of 2021 and into 2022. She eventually accumulated more than $100,000 in fines that were docked from her salary, which is $174,000 a year.

Hopefully, she will clown around and talk too much to get elected again. Her performances are disgraceful.

(4,616 posts)It mentions security for Kyle Rittenhouse. Sure that was/is a pretty penny. Wonder if her GA constituents know they were paying for KR security and legal fees. Doesn't matter. They know now.

I am SO sick of Repukes. I keep thinking they can't top their last stupid actions, then they prove me wrong.

High fundraising costs, little disclosure.

(7,781 posts)These deceivers in congress are just status quo keepers, they don't give a shit about progress, this is my current hypotenuse.
Republicans like it how it is, and push for what or at least try to look like they are for their base of voters.
Meanwhile, this clusterfuck rolls on with no end in sight, so I am giving less and less of my time/thoughts to it, to help save my own sanity or whatever is left of it.
Good luck!
Corporate welfare needs to end IMHO.

(17,782 posts)Dollars to donuts the money is finding its way back into her pockets. A couple of shell companies, some web traffic, and poof.
There is no way she is spending 75 cents of every dollar raised to raise the next dollar.
More likely 50 cents goes to her, 25 cents goes to family, and 10 cents ends up in the campaign fund.
She doesn't need to fundraise like that. It's a grift for sure. imho of course.
