How to organize, begin, NEW democrats group, on this DU? (Original Post) pantsonfire Apr 2016 OP
I don't see a real need. I'd prefer to just rid my party of 50-odd years of the New Way. nt silvershadow Apr 2016 #1
You want to return to the pre-1965 Democratic Party? BainsBane Apr 2016 #2

Which does not correspond to the Third Way. "50-odd years" is before 1965.

During that time, neither I nor Sen. Sanders for that matter, have moved our positions. Only the party has. It was infiltrated a couple of decades ago by the Third Way, and they need to leave MY party. Asking a 50-odd year party member to leave is not only wrong, it is arrogant.

be careful-- 50 years ago the Democratic Party was best known for Southern segregation and Northern big-city corruption.

And guys like Huey Long, who excelled at both.
