I appreciate the angst that DU goes through when a scumbag like Breitbart dies.

It's happened a hundred times here on DU--- A dirt bag like Breitbart takes a dirt nap and the fine folks at DU begin their first sentence with---"I take no joy in a person dying" --or--- "not to grave dance" ---or---"sorry to his wife and kids".... etc...

See here is the difference with folks on the left.... At least we try.

We try for a couple of minutes or sentences to show a bit of humanity---but after that we say fuck it... enjoy the worm dirt.

Oh I'm certain that there is great joy here at DU that this cancerous puss ball will no longer stain this world of his hate filled bullshit--- but it is nice to see our angst when expressing it.

I'm not necessarily happy that he croaked, nor am I unhappy. It's something I really don't give a shit about.

What I am happy about however is that we won't have to be subjected to his miserable bullshit anymore and we won't have to watch the liberal media tremble in fear of his idiotic raving.

In other words I'd be just as happy if he had become a monk somewhere and taken a vowel of silence. The result would be the same.

rants about some other conservative bullshit and the liberal media - with the exception of Olbermann and Schuster - will still tremble in fear of that person's idiotic raving.

The right has money... they'll just hire someone else.

The Dirt Jig is unseemly, petty, small, and gratifying in a way that reflects poorly on those who seek that gratification. Because really, all he was to you (and others) was simply an individual whose political philosophy and methods of advancing it in a mature (small d) democratic society you disagreed with.

He wasn't Nicolae Ceausescu. Now that guy was a serious douche.

But with more than 100 threads on DU about Breitbart, we have given him more air time than he had when he was alive.

I don't see the need for sorrow or rejoicing. Blowhards like Breitbart only have power if we give it to him.

Unfortunately, in his passing, DU has given him even more power.

They may not even really believe what they are saying and even if they do they still know they can thrive off of the uncountable amount of money they will get from the RW-hate mongers who make up a large part of the 1%.

Why won't Josh truck any criticism of his boyfriend Breitbart? I'd expect this from those Red State morons, but from a supposedly left leaning blog?

isn't the absence of gravedancing....it is the absence of wishing people dead and/or actively facilitating their death. That is what THEY do...we don't. We take the gifts as they come, but we do wait for nature or karma to give them to us.

but I would bring him back to life in a minute, if I could exchange him for Limbaugh. In the Rat-Fucker Olympics, Breitbart was only a top ranking amateur.

In my mind, Limbaugh is the head of the snake. I would give anything for him to depart this planet. That would totally demoralize the Right, as they take their marching orders from him. They would be lost without him.
