MO Democrat files bill making it a felony to file a bill restricting union rights.

Yesterday we learned that a republican from St. Louis filed a bill that made it a felony to propose any gun control legislation. Today, this bill was filed:

578.462. Any member of the general assembly who proposes a piece of legislation that further restricts the right of an individual to bargain collectively, as set forth under section 29, article I of the Missouri Constitution, shall be guilty of a class D felony.

Let the games begin.

Let's pass it nationwide is right!

WTG, Rep Roorda et al. Criminalizing union busters is one piece of legislation I can get behind. There's nothing I want to see more than putting union busters behind bars, other than letting banksters rot.

I see people all over the net with great ideas about how to further the aims of the American labor movement, but they always stop as ideas. What do we have to do to make these dreams a reality?

Tie it to a bill to criminalize anyone who brings up a bill restricting women's right to be safe from violence, in charge of their own bodies, earn equal pay...

The guy promoting this is the guy who drives the fetus van. He's an Operation Rescue nutcase. Scott Roeder is also an anti fluoride nut. He thinks the government puts fluoride in our water as a means of mind control.

The comedy never ends. One good thing about living in red state hell.

Weather is horrid.

Was home today...library closed. Don't know about tomorrow.

It's still snowing and I haven't gotten out to clean off the cars or shovel the driveway yet.

I might take the bus tomorrow, if it's running (it wasn't today). Well see...

But I don't blame the Democrats for fighting back. In MO, the repukes have a super majority so it's not like any bills proposed by Democrats are going to be successful.

But is there a court in the land that would back anything like this up? One always has the right to propose peaceful political change, no matter how many people are opposed to a crackpot idea.
