Poor Scots. Their humor is lost in translation in Miami.
They are going to hate Miami, not just because they can't continue their pranking, but because they are going to get seriously sunburned without proper sunscreen and worst of all, Miami has a wider geography and requires transportation almost everywhere. Scots will not be happy about it and will probably have to sober up and take it out on the pitch.
'They're obviously not Boston' Tartan Army get rude awakening as Miami police rage over cone statue
The Tartan Army are already noticing stark differences between Boston and Miami after switching up locations on their World Cup tour - not least in the attitudes and tolerance of the local police departments. Around 50,000 Scotland fans descended on the Massachusetts city last week for the two opening World Cup matches against Haiti and Morocco.
The Scots were praised for their warm spirit and good humour during their time in Boston, not least by the city's cops, whose antics included doing keepy-uppies in the FIFA Fan Zone and attempting a tune on the bagpipes. More fans have now started arriving in Florida ahead of the third game against Brazil on Wednesday.
But it seems the same good humour may not be shared by officers from the Miami Police Department. A clip being circulated online shows a Scotland fan crowning a statue in downtown Miami with the infamous traffic cone.
