NYT: Can you now say whether you will hold anyone in your administration accountable for the strike on a school that killed more than 100 children?

TRUMP: No. It's such a strange question to be asked. It's a long time ago. Mistakes are made. I would ask Pete Hegseth that question.

(25,392 posts)...as an orderly when I was a very young man. One thing I remember clear as day are the people in the waiting room I saw who caused whatever happened to the poor person getting treated inside the ER. The person at fault seemed to always hold their fists up to their temples and say, "I am so sorry," over and over and over.
That struck me then more as an excuse. However, today I realized something very important about the perpetrators of mayhem and destruction. These, the the drivers of the car, the owners of the firecrackers, the good guys with the guns...all had a human side that gave them shame for their "accident," "act of God," or just plain ignorance that led others to injury or death.
Trump holds none of even that small shred of concern, "I am so sorry." In fact, I have never heard one word of remorse from the traitor for his actions on Iran, the victims of COVID-19 and Jeffrey Epstein, the damage wrought by his dismantling of the federal bureaucracy. I hope every member of his administration, every member in Congress who has advanced his agenda, and every member of the US Supreme Court who has served as co-conspirators in his treason are held to full account for their actions.
They'll be sorry then.
