If humans are no longer needed to manufacture products and provide services, eliminating the cost of labor, how will people pay for those things and how will the owners generate income? For that matter, how would the U.S. government replace the loss of taxpayer revenue?

In the Music Man, a town was promised a band made of their children. The plan was to leave with the money before everyone figured out the grift.
AI is a promise which requires lots of money and faith.
By the time it blows up, the zillionaires will be in their Albanian bunkers.

Our system of capitalism and wage earning is failing.
Things like UBI and of course totally socialized medicine and education need to be at least considered.
