It's a fine thread to read, too.
Rhodes: What have we learned? These Iranian drones that you can make in your garage have hit our bases, have hit our Gulf Arab allies. An aircraft carrier cannot stop a speedboat from closing the Strait of Hormuz.

(14,097 posts)You use, say, a swarm of drones controlled by a combination of human operators and computers.
They recently had a giant "light show skull thing" drawn on the night sky over Hollywood by thousands of computer controlled drones. Everyone has seen one of those shows by now.
On edit: That's the not-too-distant future. I wouldn't want to be in a speed boat crew working for the Iranian Islamic Republic. The arch-bigoted, thuggish, moronic, billionaire oligarchs in that regime sit comfortably far away from the fun.
