I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the time comes for them to explain that fucked up ruling to these children.

(80,321 posts)Clarence Thomas has one biological son, Jamal Adeen Thomas (born c. 1973-1974), from his first marriage to Kathy Ambush. Jamal has largely maintained a private life out of the spotlight.Jamal Adeen Thomas: He is a graduate of Fork Union Military Academy and the Virginia Military Institute. He has worked in finance and is married to Sakina Karima Paige, with whom he has a son, Judah Thomas.
Jamal Adeen Thomas was born to Clarence Thomas and Kathy Grace Ambush. His parents met in college and later got married in 1971. A few years later, in 1973, Jamal was born.
After their marriage, his parents moved to New Haven, Connecticut. At that time, Clarence was studying law. The young family began their life together there before things later changed.
When Jamal was still young, his parents separated in 1981. Their divorce was finalized in 1984. This was a difficult time for the family. Like many children of divorce, Jamal had to adjust to changes in his home life.
His father later spoke openly about this time. He admitted he felt guilt about leaving his wife and child. He also said he loved his son deeply and felt proud of him. These public words showed that their relationship remained important.

(29,407 posts)all I could think of was the Law & Order episode that dealt with a phony adoption outfit:
"Chattel" (Law & Order Season 19, Episode 8), which first aired in January 2009.
Episode Summary
The story begins with the murder of two divorce lawyers, Fred and Lizzy Bellamy. During the investigation, Detectives Lupo and Bernard discover that the lawyers were planning to blow the whistle on a Haitian child slavery ring.
The Slavery Ring: The investigation leads to Eric and Miriam Johnson, who operate a ring where children from Haiti are brought to the U.S. under the guise of adoption. Instead of being raised as family members, these children are sold to wealthy households to serve as domestic slaves (often referred to in the episode using the Haitian term restavek).
Patrick Johnson: A key character is 12-year-old Patrick, an "adopted" Haitian boy who works for the Johnsons. It is eventually revealed that Patrick was coerced into committing the murders by the Johnsons' biological daughter, Karen, who threatened that he would be sent back to Haiti or become homeless if her parents were arrested.
Not that I think this is true of Comey Barrett, even though she is a racist.
