I think this subject needs its own forum. Roller Derby.

Yep it’s the Glass City Rollers against the Down River Dolls.
Got to get there early to get the best Suicide Seats.
We haven’t been in a few years, so really looking forward to it.
Any other fans here.
Didn’t think so.

I've always liked Roller Derby. It's been a long time since I've seen it though. Like 50 years.

A little different from the old tv one. Nothing fake, just ruff and tuff elbows and head banging. These ladies are all in.
Covid put it out of business for a while, but it’s getting started again.
First time we went, we were invited to the after match party. Never seen such a friendly sport.

when the rolling course was wooden, raised, and slanted toward the center with railings on the outer side. We found it a hoot. When I looked into roller derby out here in Colorado in the 2000s, the event was staged on a flat, unraised surface and didn't appear to have the appeal of the early 70s roller derby. I never took in a game here in Colorado. The local team went out of business after a few years of play.

I’ll bring home a program and share some this time. Very colorful and descriptive.
