Video and photographs of the aftermath, which have been verified as authentic and geolocated to the site, show hundreds of people gathered around the partially collapsed and smoking building, with rubble strewn across the street and men digging through it for victims. Screams can be heard in the background. In some of the images, schoolbags and textbooks are being pulled from the debris.
Capt Tim Hawkins, the spokesperson for US Central Command, said the US was aware of reports concerning civilian harm resulting from ongoing military operations. We take these reports seriously and are looking into them.
The school building appears to be adjacent to an Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps barracks.

We have the blood of innocents on our hands for supplying weapons over and over and over and over.

(8,188 posts)because it was announced by the Iranian government, Iranian government aligned media, and the International Red Crescent, also run by the Revolutionary Guard, or something. Also, every other (mainly non-US) media agency that has reported it.
But if you mention it on an internet message board, they will absolutely flock to the thread to tell you not to believe it. Hell, the denialism worked well for Gaza, so why not here, too, right?

(13,989 posts)... which translates into "read no further." I wouldn't say it's a hoax. I would just say that if IRNA is mentioned at all, any information that follows should be taken as tainted at best.

(13,989 posts)The headline. Let that sink in. The headline was from IRNA.
Actually, The Guardian should really be ashamed of quoting IRNA at all, because that news agency is fervently homophobic and also had no problems reporting the floggings of women. But using IRNA information in the headline and opening paragraphs is unforgivable.
It's giving credence to a homophobic and misogynistic news source.
I, personally, am against homophobia and misogyny.
