Majority of Americans do NOT support deporting people with jobs and no criminal record

Remarkable: Majority of working class voters oppose deportations of undocumented immigrants with jobs/no criminal records, per new Marquette data.

Remember how pundits said 2024 meant Dems must become restrictionist to win back working class? I challenge that here:

Interesting... and kind of maddening at the same time. I really blame the media for how negatively immigrants were seen leading up to the 2024 election. and by blame the media I mean largely just parroting only what drumpf said. It's only now that we see people getting snatched from schools and workplaces that the American people are starting to see the non-drumpf side of the story, that most immigrants are either documented, working, and peaceful, OR undocumented, but still working and peaceful, and only a small amount are actually committing crimes worthy of removal.

And personally I think most of the undocumented people would gladly hop on the "path to citizenship" if Congress could ever GIVE them a reasonable and actionable path to get on.

I blame the media for this terrible perception because the drumpf story is really the only one we have heard for almost a decade now. Honestly think back to the last time you saw or read a piece on an immigrant's life in America, about coming here, the hurdles to becoming a citizen, how they work and pay taxes. When is the last time you saw an immigrant profiled and quoted in the media, and not just the words of a politician?

I honestly can't think of one............. and only telling one side of the story leaves the public with only one story to believe.
