If you guessed POS Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas you won. Of course the losers are millions of women, trans people, those who were adopted, and others who have had name changes. And mail in ballots. And those using online and mail voter registration drives.
Let us pray it dies in the Senate.

(9,394 posts)In an interview with the Post-Gazette, he stressed that he did not say that he would support the bill, which is an expansive effort to require proof of citizenship during voter registration and photo ID during voting, limit registration by mail and purge voter rolls more frequently, among other measures.
Fetterman said the changes to curtail mail-in registration were "a nonstarter" for him. Even if he were to vote for the bill, he said, it's almost certain to die in the Senate because it won't win the necessary 60 votes.

Asked by the Post-Gazette about his previous statements opposing that very idea, Mr. Fetterman did not say explicitly what form of voter ID requirements he would support now, though he suggested he was open to the concept.
Its a strange hill for Democrats to die on, he said.

(9,394 posts)The pardon has had zero impact on his voting. He has always been a Republican pretending to be a Democrat.
