I am visiting Columbus Ohio, for the holidays and the reports are terrifying.

The ICE bastards are hitting schools, elementary and high school.
Dragging kids off buses.

Hitting the major malls. Throwing pregnant women to the ground and stomping on them.

Storming local restaurants.

Stopping cars on the high way.

The ICE agents are all over the city.

People are protesting and harassing the NAZI bastards at their hotels at night.
And screaming at them during the day.

I am worried for my family and all people in Columbus.

Saying he stood behind the people of Columbus and would not help ICE in any way.

But there is one picture of the Columbus police with ICE agents, so people are not sure what is going on.

I am following several Columbus forums and people are skeptical about the Columbus police and the city attorney.

People are afraid to go to school and work right now.

2. I live in Columbus. For the past few days, its been impossible to order much from Doordash here.

They are having a serious driver shortage and a significant number of the restaurants that serve foreign cuisine have either been closed or accepting pickup only. Most of the time when we order, we get drivers who are immigrants, you can typically tell just from the name or the accent when you meet them at the door.

Columbus can be a fairly boring city but one thing we have going for us is we are an immigrant heavy city with a ton of different restaurants offering authentic food from other countries. I've always loved that about this city. And I've always had great interactions with the immigrants here. They serve my food, they replaced the floors and roof on my house (did excellent work on both), they work in the assisted living facility where my grandmother stays... they are part of so many aspects of life here. They are my neighbors. Many have been co-workers in my IT profession. I tutored many immigrants or children of immigrants in college.

This is just a small thing with the Doordash situation but one that illustrates the impact of what ICE is doing. My wife and I were discussing what we could do but probably not much that doesn't land us in trouble while not actually helping anyone.

10. Yes. The white people in Columbus rely heavily on immigrant labor.

All the construction, landscaping, snow removal, nursing home care, etc etc are immigrant labor.

And yes Columbus is a wonderful foodie town, there is a cornucopia of ethnic restaurants,
food trucks and pop ups. Many owned and operated by ethnic groups.

I am reading the Columbus forums online and it is heartbreaking.
Parents running to the schools to grab their children before ICE gets there.
Mothers worried about going grocery shopping.
People wondering if they should go to work or not.

The forums are good about posting all the ICE sightings so people have a chance to get their
kids at the schools and to stay out of the target area.

But the ICE agents are on the move and keep popping up everywhere.

I see many posts by the white folks who are volunteering to do some driving, taking people to and from
the store, etc. And who are protesting the ICE agents during the day and night.

The hotels where the ICE are staying is well known and white people are there at night
playing loud music and yelling with bullhorns.

There is a protect today in front of the ICE detention center in Westerville.

has stories about it. WSYX (owned by Sinclair) and 10TV are just saying the mayor and police chief are telling people to stay calm.

I am following the news on the Columbus online forums where people are constantly posting
pictures, videos, first hand accounts throughout the day about what ICE is doing.
And where they are hour by hour.

And people are posting their stories, asking for advice, should they go to work and school.
What should they do. They are truly terrified.

The anti ICE protestors are also posting their stories and pictures.

Easy for the mayor and police to tell people to stay calm.
Brown people are being terrorized and threatened every day.
But they are supposed to stay calm. Sure.

4. My daughter is a teacher and

her school is on lockdown. ICE was in the parking lot this morning, but took no action. Principal & teachers are worried about dismissal today as the school has a large Hispanic population.

ICE has been spotted all over town.

Even some private schools.

The kids are scared.

Yes the GD ICE agents are driving big vehicles to the school parking lots and staring down the children.
Acting in creepy and menacing ways. Standing around looking like perverted pedophiles.

Everyone is feeling threatened.
People are trying to get their kids out of the school when the ICE agents show up.

The principals are saying they won't let ICE in.

One teacher said the teachers made a human chain to protect the children from ICE.

Jesus Christ I want to cry.

The whole point is to terrorize the city of Columbus.

Which are north of the city. Also part of the eastern middle class neighborhoods.

Going into the restaurants, stores, light industry, schools.
Also the interstate.

They have not yet hit the poorer more urban areas.

Columbus is liberal, diverse, educated.
So the entire city is going to be hit hard.

And when the GOP congress gets too crazy he sometimes knocks their heads together.

This week he lamented the loss of immigrants in another Ohio city and how it was hurting the
economy. Of course he is to blame, he is part of the GOP hate filled agenda.

Columbus thought it was immune from ICE because of the GOP governor and state congress.

But they were wrong. Columbus is quite diverse, liberal, with many immigrants.

I am completely unfamiliar with the neighborhoods.

But I do know this...they will hit whatever areas offer the perceived paths of least resistance.

All of this horror is only briefly covered in the MSM. Go to Reddit if you want to see what is really going on.
