(no doubt a failing on our part)
Still - there remains that small minority - that thought primarying a man that has his own able and laudatory history, along with accumulated political base and connection, backing him .... Might have been just slightly .... Ill advised? (slightly crack brained?) In the first place.
(But - like I said - no doubt do to major failings .. )

(21,061 posts)Mr. Mamdani also may want to avoid the optics of having Mr. Ossé challenge the House Democratic leader, who endorsed Mr. Mamdani in October after months of negotiation.
The disagreement caused Mr. Ossé to be disinvited from Mr. Mamdanis election night watch party, according to two people familiar with the matter, even though he has been a frequent presence at Mr. Mamdanis campaign events. Instead, Mr. Ossé said he spent the night with my constituents at D.S.A. events celebrating Zohrans incredible win.

But it's sad, because the discussion should be about whether Jeffries should be replaced as leader

(26,856 posts)I mean, the Nordic countries as partly democratic socialist countries; I don't Americans have bad opinions about them.
They're a hell of a lot different than the 😄 sourpuss Socialist Workers Party people I used to ocassionly run into in College waaay back; and I'll bet they haven't gotten much better!

(54,405 posts)I have battling this erroneous positing since I joined DU closing in on 7 and half years ago.
We are social democratic nation states, aka The Nordic Model.
We all have very robust, vibrant, AND also highly regulated capitalist economies that work synergistically with expansive social welfare state sectors to provide some the absolute highest standards of living on the planet.

I do know you live in Sweden. 👍
ETA
After looking a bit more for the differences; does Sweden have any State owned industries like Norway owns it's oil industry.
And off-topic question bc I had a on line friend for a bunch of years who lives in Finland.
What is your daylight/night experience?
Right now, his sunrise is around 8:30A and sunset around 4:15P. He gets about 2 months of "midnight sun".
I'm fascinated by this stuff. Tia!
And like ?60+ yrs ago when a cousin of mine had cancer as a 9, or 10 ye old bc my uncle was already working for WHO, he was able to send his son actually to Sweden for (sucessful) cancer treatment. At that time I heard his sunrise was around 10A, and setting around 2P.
I was like
bc up till that point I didn't know about the differences in sunrise/set according to latitudes.
