every member of his cabinet knows they'd be out of a job as soon as Dear Leader is gone.

Not a one of them has any qualifications for holding the position they have aside from their ability to kiss the required ass without puking, and I would bet they all know it.

With Trump gone their protective shield dissolves.

That's one reason, but there are of course others.
