I'm not all that interested in the nuts and bolts behind his minions telling him it won't work, but you can read about it here:

This MAY be the first article I've seen where it says he plans to do it in the middle of 2026, "BEFORE THE MIDTERMS," even if they stop short of accusing him of vote-buying, but we know that's the EXACT reason why he's pimping this "concept of a plan."

(21,003 posts)Assuming I don't need to explain the "in the next two weeks" meme on DU, but just in case anyone is unfamiliar with it, Trump says that every time he has no intention of doing something. If he says "it will be in the next two weeks," reporters let him off the hook, then he "floods the zone" with more raw sewage so that people forget it entirely.

(21,003 posts)...yesterday. one of his goons DID say the money could go into the "Trump Accounts" he's pimped as a reward for baby-makin'...
...the only "detail" I have seen is that he's talked about it going to "WORKING FAMILIIES," which completely cuts retirees and people on Social Security out of the picture (unless they are collecting SS AND working, which some people do).
But he will absolutely target "those who are most likely to vote Republican," because in his first term, he DID wonder OUT LOUD if he could "withhold COVID aid from blue states."
