Happy Dance ! This is a Ground Shift for my Town!
Damn- They updated the numbers and the R supervisor now has 1 point lead. The council seats definitely went for the Democrats. Their leads were substantial. I wonder if they will do a run off election on the Supervisor, or at least a recounted as it was so close? The nearby city booted the Republican mayor handily.
OMG A Democrat just won Town Supervisor, and Democrats won 2 of the 3 open seats. This is phenomenal! In my lifetime the only non Republicon whomever won Supervisor was a Democrat who had to run as an Independent because no one believed a Democrat could ever win.
Back in the 80s my college history even used our town as an example of one party rule. That ended tonight.
