(1,681 posts)There's been NO liberal media since the 70s and now it seems tramp's billionaire friends are going to buy out (probably ALL) the media and make sure there's a Right wing, even Fascist slant to ALL the stations they buy.
They've already got the AM BS bands in rural cornpone 'murica, now they are going to make sure there will never be anything resembling free reporting or negative comment toward Republicans, Corporations or anyone or anything they decide.
The net is next.
Back to mimeographs, CBs and secret meetings. Just like Europe in the late 30s and early 40s.
As Charles Pierce says, This is your America, people. Cherish it! (While you can)

And that formerly liberal institutions have become MAGA ass kissing propaganda channels faster than you could say "SAD!".
If you really want to trigger MAGA, tell them there's no such thing as the liberal media.

I cringe at your use of CBS instead, as NO ONE at CBS wanted this nor attempted to bring this to be. NO ONE!!!

(447 posts)I'm sorry you feel the need to "cringe" at the perfectly normal way of referring to the decision-makers and execs and owners of CBS. They are known collectively as "CBS" in this context. It makes zero sense for me to say "Is CBS trying to become FOX News* (not including the good reporters, and responsible editorialists, and other employees who have no say in the matter because we know that they have no power and they're just trying to make the best of their lives and keep their heads low while waiting for the axe to swing anyway). Most reasonable people will understand what I mean without having to split-hairs and nitpick for no good reason. Please.
That you refuse to "get" the distinction is again cringeworthy. You disrespect everyone who works at CBS and show your apparent misplaced sympathies. Fine. You hate CBS and everyone within and refuse to make any distinction. Now you get the chance to deride them for that which no one within (or recently associated) with the management of CBS has ANY control over. Not exactly the response I would expect from a DUer. But, yes, I see what you are saying. It is quite clear.

(447 posts)You spare no one at CBS. Unlike you, I have a great deal of respect for many of those who worked or continue to work there despite the disgusting turn. Foul or "Fowl?"

(447 posts)I have no doubt that the rank-and-file at CBS, with souls rent asunder and hearts eviscerated by the cruel machinations of my post, languish in a state of inconsolable desolation and overwrought despair. And yet, even across this vast expanse, I can perceive the shimmering echo of their ethereal, celestial chorus -- a syrupy symphony of praises and profuse, heartfelt gratitude, rising heavenward in appreciation for the theatrical rage paraded on their behalf. Oh, the profound relief that must surely fill their quivering bosoms, for they must know, in the deepest marrow of their bones, that finally, at this blessed, long-awaited hour, a savior has deigned to arrive.
Good grief. Oh well... you do you.
thank you for proving my point. Ugly response to those whose work has been demolished and a once venerable old network dismantled. But it is all a derisive joke to youshameful attitude.
