VA-GOV: Gallego campaigning for Spanberger ahead of Virginia gubernatorial race

Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), seen as a potential 2028 presidential contender, will be campaigning for Virginia gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger (D) on Thursday ahead of Virginia’s elections next week.

The event is billed as a “Latinos for Spanberger” event in Alexandria, scheduled less than a week before voters will decide between Spanberger and Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears (R) as their next governor of Old Dominion.

Gallego joins a list of prominent Democrats and widely floated 2028 White House hopefuls who have or will be campaigning with Spanberger in the final stretch before the Nov. 4 election, including former President Obama, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D), former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D).

Top Democrats have also campaigned or have announced plans to rally with New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Mikie Sherrill, who’s running against Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli to succeed term-limited New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D).

like they did before the 2024 election. I just can’t imagine Virginians voting for Sears. However, people are so stupid. They saw through Trump but not Youngkin. I think the Miyares will beat Jones for AG.

Fortunately, Spanberger stills has a comfortable lead over Sears. I just can’t see people in southwest Virginia and similar places voting for a black immigrant female. Plus she’s crazy, but that’s immaterial to MAGAts. The other two races are disturbingly tight; they’re a crapshoot.
