ICE is out of control and beyond repair

ICE needs to be stripped down to the studs. Democrats should start working on the project now, and they can look to the GOP's years-long campaign to destroy the IRS as a (partial) model.

When President Trump told the Proud Boys to “Stand back and stand by” in his 2020 debate with Joe Biden, it became clear that he saw the far-right group and others like it as a kind of Trump militia, ready to act in his interests and at his instructions — which they did on January 6, 2021.

When Trump took office again in 2025, it was reasonable to fear that those malcontented white supremacists would be activated again, this time with an emboldened and angry president behind them.

But it hasn’t really happened; the paramilitary cosplayers dreaming of civil war as their beer guts spill out below their tactical vests have been remarkably quiet. That’s because Trump no longer needs them. He has his own army of thugs, one even more lawless and violent. It’s called Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and it is out of control.

Something has definitely changed in Democratic rhetoric just in the last couple of weeks.

Officials are now suggesting that ICE agents are committing crimes and should be held accountable — which is very different from simply objecting to a policy shift. It’s fair to say this is a result not only of the street-level thuggery that has been so apparent, but the mounting evidence that top Trump officials feel unconstrained by the law, judges, or any established authority at all.

2. All cities should write laws in such a way that their Law enforcement

agencies can arrest ICE personal for touching a person, looking at others with hate in their eyes, wearing
facial coverings, having a loaded weapon, hell confiscate all their weapons because you got an anonymous
tip they had illegal or stolen weapons. Automatic 90 days in the slammer and a $10,000 fine. And if you
can't pay your fine, you can work it off making license plates at a $1 an hour.

Who knows what they are doing to the women and children they are abducting? I wouldn’t be shocked if they are raping innocent victims and a lot of these ice thugs are probably pardoned January 6th insurrectionists.

Perhaps one reason for the masks is that most of them have criminal records involving violent activities.

Are actually Proud Boys and pardoned Jan 6 rioters. Not to mention KKK white supremacists and heavily armed militia cosplayers. That's exactly the type of people they tried to recruit. They've just been legitimized and are being showered with our tax dollars now. If Democrats ever come into power and threaten to disband them I wouldn't be surprised if they launch an armed rebellion.

6. This is just plain-old garden-variety assault.

The Republicans have been grooming this hoarde of bullies for decades, since before "Blue-Dogs".
We encountered a J6 convoy in Sacramento on their way to their "Tourist Event", obvious in their intent even days before the Insurrection by their actions and demeanor.
And, now "pardoned" they are the truncheon in Kraznov's fist.
Imagine their surprise when their usefulness ends and they become the object of his Bile and The Gubmit comes for their guns.
