The Republican president and top White House officials had initially said nothing would be demolished during construction.

The president and his chief spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, said over the summer that the White House itself would remain intact as the ballroom was going up.

“It’ll be near it but not touching it,” Trump said. “Nothing will be torn down,” Leavitt added.
That turned out not to be the case.

I'm looking for the billboards: "People's House in ruins"

Doubt I'll find any.

I remarked earlier today that stuff posted on DU rarely gets outside. I'd like to see this one spread further than these web pages.

Well, I keep trying. not everything is going to work, but I keep trying.

Just to stay "sharp" I tried some parts of Beethoven concertos on the piano today.
I may never perform them (heck, I detest wearing a suit) but I keep trying.

One of these days, a lie is going to blow up his blimp.
