Just saw a clip of Pete Buttigieg on CNN discussing Zohran Mamdani

Of course they asked if he would endorse him, Pete smiled and said that Zohran has not asked him for an endorsement and he didn't believe Zohran needs his endorsement and then went on to compliment the way Zohran ran his campaign. Zohran Mamdani ran a campaign of bringing people together.

That was something I admired in his campaign as well. Zohran was always out there, willing to meet and talk with everyone to earn their trust and their vote. He built bridges and coalitions. He truly ran a spectacular and uplifting campaign.

Pete was also asked about Cuomo and he said Cuomo damaged himself in many ways and damaged himself morally.

He was a mayor, but I'd love to see him be a governor. He'd be a great one.

I'm about as far from CA as it is possible to get in the Lower 48, so I don't keep close track of what's going on and who is doing it. The shape of my life prevents that much engagement on my part.

Apologies for my ignorance and thanks for lessening that ignorance a bit.

Buttigieg is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Oxford, attending the latter on a Rhodes Scholarship. In 2007, he began three years of work at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. From 2009 to 2017, he was an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve, attaining the rank of lieutenant. He was mobilized and deployed to the war in Afghanistan for seven months in 2014. Before being elected as mayor of South Bend in 2011, Buttigieg worked on the political campaigns of Democrats Jill Long Thompson, Joe Donnelly, and John Kerry, and ran unsuccessfully as the Democratic nominee for Indiana state treasurer in 2010. While serving as South Bend's mayor, Buttigieg came out as gay in 2015. He married Chasten Glezman, a schoolteacher and writer, in June 2018. Buttigieg declined to seek a third term as mayor.

A Democratic mayor in a red state. He's awesome and brilliant. I think you'll see more of him. (I think he's living in Michigan now with his husband, and their two kids.)

Every one of their "gotcha" style questions he seems to flip around and get them right back. I've yet to anyone shake him. either. He is a steady thoughtful thinker and he makes sure his mouth is never out in front of the brain. Or so it seems.

The rest is that he's very smart, very witty, and can hit back with class or humor as the situation demands.
