Exactly, you can talk to them through the door
If you know they are agents when they first come to the door.
If you open your door and then they identify themselves, ask if they have a warrant and when they say "no" shut the door and talk to them through the door. You do NOT have to open your door for any cop or agent.
And of course you don't have to let them in to search unless they produce a warrant. If they threaten you with a warrant, let them. Then contact a lawyer.
