Please tell me this is all a bad dream.

Trump is is tearing down the East Wing of the White House in order to build an unneeded
ballroom that is almost 50% larger than the original White House and the first drawings
of the interior of the building has shit tons of gold crap.*

Where are the crowds with pitchforks and torches?

One third didn't vote at all, they don't give a damn.
One third voted for Harris.

So 2/3rds of the US population like Trump or don't care either way.
This is a majority of the US population.

Trump always telegraphs, either explicitly, implicitly, or by projection, what he is going to do.

He's already chosen his preference of the three mock-ups he was given. The largest, of course.

Here's hoping all the majestic horses in his Bigger Than Anyone's Ever funeral procession (you know there will be one) leading from the Arc de Trump to the Gilded Ballroom, defecate profusely in front of his hearse.

36. Sooo, the white house still gives tours
Thu Oct 23, 2025, 02:01 PM
Thursday

You have to go through your Congress Critter to get it booked. But I don't see that being a big problem. So many people hate my Republicon members that the Congress member will be glad for the attention. Or they may sell those tours for a donation since my Congress Critters are so money hungry.

But here is the info. I want to see what damage demented pedo Trump has done. I toured the White House back in the 1980s.

Tours of The White House include the public rooms in the East Wing and the Residence, which include the Vermeil Room, the Library, the China Room, the Blue Room, Red Room, Green Room, the State Dining Room, and a view of the White House Kennedy Garden. Secret Service Officers are stationed along the tour route and are available to answer questions about each room’s history, art, furnishings, current uses, and beyond.

Reserve your tour
White House tour requests should be made through your Member of Congress, which may be submitted 7 – 90 days in advance of the requested tour date.
Tours are generally available 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday as well as 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday (excluding Federal holidays or unless otherwise noted). When possible, public tour hours will be extended based on the official White House schedule.

All White House tours are free of charge.
Tour schedules may change at any time, with little notice, due to inclement weather or scheduling conflicts, even after your tour is confirmed.

You may reach your Member of Congress through the United States Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 (TTY: 202-225-1904), or online at congress.gov/members.

Operating hours and timely updates can be found at the 24hr information line: 202-456-7041.

My congressman back in the 1980s either. I just signed up in DC when I first got there 3 days before the tour.

I was just surprised they still did tours. And I thought if I could witness the damage up close, it would mean something.

He tore down the colonnade and the Jacqueline Kennedy garden too. My heart breaks. What I would have paid for a cornice piece or medallion from the wing; maybe a bush or plant from the garden. But no, it all had to be destroyed. It all had to be bulldozed into scrap and ruins.

It will be up to us, the people, to throw out the billionaires and hopefully, we will get a significant number of unwashed Magats to join us.

I wanted Dems to vote no to the CR back in March.

I wanted all of our social safety net protected before the government was funded. I was attacked here for being anti-Democrat.

Now Dems voted no and we only have one main issue to fight for, reimbursements to Obamacare, a worthy goal to fight for but;
Since March, Magats passed the Big Ugly Death Bill that will gut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, the VA, with worst of the cuts taking effect Dec 1, 2026, after the election.

Time Mattered.
