This is a shakedown--not a shutdown.

3/4 of the way through his first year with Trump Regime 2.0 he is saying that if Democrats want an audience they will have to turn the lights on first. There wouldn't be a point of a meeting anymore.
King Donald won't need Democrats in government--at all. We are taking up space and giving him pleasure as he shows us we are nothing more than gnats. He is going to fix that, too.
In the budget he is shaking us down with his goons will get loads of funding. They will be armed and numerous and he will invade more blue states. We will all be occupied. Republicans running his government will only serve to rubber-stamp whatever he wishes.
He is signaling that the end is near for Medicare and Social Security. There will be nothing for children, either. Education will be limited and likely segregated again. Hospitals and clinics will shutter services unless one is wealthy.
People will suffer and die. His goons will menace and arrest whoever they want.
He is stealing our nation right in the open.
He is destroying our nation and lives.

They could easily "go nuclear" and get rid of the filibuster for budget resolutions and pass it themselves. But they are loathe to do that.

No that any budget matters a damn with this regime spending and withholding on it's own whims.

Bare bones for Thanksgiving and Christmas. There goes my Budget for Christmas.

A Christmas card and $50(down from $100) each for the Granddaughters. NO scratch offs either.

I have family--no grandchildren yet, but a niece and nephew. This year will be more a return to non-commercial traditions. Love, though--there will be lots of that.
