It’s people who stubbornly can’t admit to themselves that it’s not 2009 anymore and are in a state of delulu when it comes to Billy.

I used to watch him....wow, that was a long time ago though.

He's just a rich narcissist who is FAR too in love with the sound of his own voice.

I can’t stand his show and stopped watching years ago as he slips further into becoming a Republican. He’s a grumpy old man yelling at kids from his porch.

the pandemic. It certainly brought out the worst in him and it's been downhill ever since. As he gets older, he's gotten more bizarre often repeating the same old rants over and over again. I haven't watched him in several years, so I can't say if he's still repeating himself, but he does seem to be resistant to aging.

and over the years he became more and more liberal. It appears he is now reverting to his Libertarian self which tends to lean more republican. So yeah, he does appear to be more republican now, very self-absorbed and arrogant.

I consider any post notifying DU of his latest upcoming show to be right wing talking points.

13. It is interesting that DU has a rule

That states:

Do not post right-wing talking points or smears. Do not post content sourced from right-wing publications, authors, or pundits. Exceptions are permitted if you provide a clear reason for doing so that is consistent with the values of this website.

Yet that show is allowed to be actively promoted here for a small handful of cultists.

They also posted the guest lists of all the late night shows (Colbert, Kimmel, The Daily Show, etc.) but it's only Maher and always the exact wording from the official HBO press release. Interesting.

He's out of touch with the times & I feel like he's a bitter asshole because he's not as popular as he once was. Maher has on more conservative guests than leftist ones. He barely ever pushes back against them & by the end of the show he ends up agreeing with them 100%. It's fine to watch him for some laughs, but if you are watching him for real world knowledge or anything else you are wasting your time.

it's all about keeping an audience. He is adhering to the philosophy of other comedians that we have been hearing about regarding political humor. That is, "Why piss off 50% of your viewers?" His credibility suffered a huge hit when he declared on Real Time that during his dinner with Trump he realized that "...A crazy person doesn't live in the White House. A person who plays a crazy person on TV a lot lives there..."

Wrong, Bill! The real person is the Trump who says and does crazy, disgusting things daily. He managed to impersonate a reasonable person with you for one evening.
