Was it a rally, a protest, or a celebration?

It seemed to me to be all of the above.

The people were rallying to protest the fascist regime that has taken over our government.

At the same time, they were celebrating their constitutional right to peacefully assemble and to express their free speech.

No doubt, if Trump had access to enough National Guard or military units, he would have shut down each and every rally that took place yesterday.

But the people showed that they have the power. They not only protested the dictator that now sits in the White House, but they dressed up in funny costumes and carried signs to express their thoughts about the regime. There was an air of celebration that we still have the right to express ourselves in this country.

Hopefully, we will continue to have that right.

The signs were protesting, the speakers were doing the rally thing, but the people were celebrating. I think we were celebrating the beginning of the end of Trump's power. It isn't over yet but we're shining the light at the end of the tunnel.
