Todays official rally numbers for St. Johnsbury, Vermont (population around 5,900) are not in yet but what a rally it was! Most everyone I spoke with agreed there were twice the number of people today than our last rally. Today maybe 700-800?
We lined both sides of Main Street and sang America the Beautiful and danced to Another Brick in the Wall. Most age groups were represented and the signs were fantastic
.creative, humorous and dead serious.
We were treated to a special Main Street side show when a Vermont pickup truck rolled up with giant Trump and American flags. MAGA driver stopped, waited for the crowds attention then laid rubber to prove what a Big Man he is. On a return trip he was joined by a New Hampshire truck with a Trump flag and a Confederate flag. Both drivers laid an even longer patch of rubber the second time around. What a show, especially so close to the police station
.such courage, such amazing talent.
We had an assortment of blow-up animals
.even a unicorn, a baby with its own bubble machine, a wonderful elderly woman with her handmade sign GOP WTF. So many American flags, so much solidarity. A truly heartwarming rally.
A special thanks to all the veterans today. I loved their signs, their patriotism, their presence.

(3,965 posts)on Dorset Street in South Burlington. Lady backed her car up in the parking lot and was playing Dylan, and Clash, and Wailers tunes. 600 people on just this one stretch of road. Events all over Burlington and surrounding area.
We had several clowns, a guy dressed as a cheeseburger, another as a Taco, a number of frogs and frog families, and many cute dogs.
Far less hostility from passers by than in times past, it seemed, though a couple of really angry guys, in trucks, did cuss us out. Kinda fits a pattern.
