Wouldn't you think that if hundreds of thousands of Americans all over the country

took to the street to save our democracy, that NY Times might give the event the coverage it deserves? Maybe - I don't know - the headline of the day?

...causing almost no impact to our immediate quality of life;

It would cause a disruption of billions of dollars into the economy forcing companies to take a bold stand against this regime. It could be as powerful as a general strike -and we would see immediate change within days.

Cutting off money in general to the economy doesnt mean that you dont support your local pastry store. It jsut means that we arent going to give money we dont need to, to things until something changes dramatically. Netflix is a huge business with billions of dollars flowing through it. Even though they are run by a Democrat, doesnt mean that other areas ofnteh economy dont also rely on them. Thsinhas nothing to do with politics. It has to dow the utilizing our capabilities to preserve our democracy before it is completely unsalvagable.

But also: if you wanna keep your Netflix, keep it. If you dont need your prime subscription, dump it. Maybe you also dont need that Temu account youre paying into and forgot about.

If everybody just stopped living life like it was business as usual and made some tiny sacrifices at once, our democracy would return. And so would your netflix.
