Started off this morning with a rain we really needed
hard to cuss it. We made signs at one of the churches in town, got things kinda organized and rules set. I volunteered to be a safety person, I had to ask only one guy to please leave
he was getting a little verbally abusive.
Told him he had the right to express himself
but so do we, if thats how you feel
stay with your little counter-protest group
he did.
They had all of 5 people counter-protesting.
The rain cleared out at about 11:30. We actually got to a little over 50 people. Drive bys were generally positive of course there were some that had to show their I.Q.s holding up their single finger.
It was kinda different
this protest
seeing your friends and neighbors drive by
and standing shoulder to shoulder street side with them.
This protest was the first here, we had no idea of how the turnout would be
much larger than what we expected
Were planning to try to have another before the cold weather sets in. Should be bigger with better organization.
Heres some of the day
The counter-protest group
they got a little larger
Got a thumbs up from our Amish neighbors.
Had to add these in the Garden Club worked hard.
