Martin Luther King Jr.'s six principles of nonviolence

Martin Luther King Jr.'s six principles of nonviolence are:
1) nonviolence is a way of life for courageous people,
2) it seeks to defeat injustice, not people,
3) it aims to win friendship and understanding,
4) it holds that voluntary suffering can transform,
5) it chooses love over hate, and
6) it believes the universe is on the side of justice.
